International Journal of Multidisciplinary Futuristic Development

Conflict of Interest Policy
The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Futuristic Development (IJMFD) is committed to upholding the highest standards of transparency, objectivity, and integrity in scholarly publishing. To maintain these standards, all individuals involved in the publication process—authors, reviewers, and editors—are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the development, review, or outcome of a manuscript.

For Authors
Authors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could be perceived to affect the objectivity, interpretation, or presentation of their research. This includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Financial interests: Funding, grants, paid consultancies, employment, stock ownership, royalties, or patents relevant to the research topic—especially if linked to technological, scientific, policy, or product outcomes discussed in the manuscript.
  2. Personal relationships: Any personal or academic relationship that may unduly influence the research process or reporting.
  3. Professional affiliations: Memberships, advisory roles, or board positions in organizations (e.g., corporate entities, government agencies, NGOs, academic institutions) related to the manuscript topic.

Authors are required to declare all conflicts of interest at the time of submission and must include a Conflict of Interest Statement in the manuscript. If there are no conflicts, authors should state clearly:
“The authors declare no conflict of interest.”

For Reviewers
Reviewers must disclose any conflict of interest that could interfere with their ability to provide an unbiased and objective evaluation of the manuscript. Examples include:

  1. Financial or personal relationships with any of the authors.
  2. Collaborative history with the authors or research groups.
  3. Institutional affiliations or rivalries that could affect impartial judgment.
  4. Competitive interests in the research subject matter or similar ongoing work.

If a reviewer identifies a potential conflict, they must decline the review and notify the editorial office promptly, so that an alternate reviewer can be assigned.

For Editors
Editors overseeing manuscripts must also disclose any potential conflicts of interest. These may include:

  1. Professional or financial relationships with authors or their institutions.
  2. Direct involvement in the subject matter of the manuscript that could bias editorial decisions.
  3. Past or current collaborations with authors or affiliated organizations.

In such cases, the editor must recuse themselves from the editorial process, and the manuscript will be reassigned to another impartial editor to ensure a fair review and decision-making process.

Managing Conflicts of Interest
The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Futuristic Development ensures that all conflicts are handled transparently and ethically. The journal follows these practices:

  1. Full Disclosure: All disclosed conflicts will be acknowledged in the published article, where appropriate.
  2. Editorial Oversight: If needed, manuscripts will be reassigned to maintain impartiality.
  3. Ethical Review: The editorial board will review and assess all reported conflicts to ensure that they are properly addressed.

Failure to disclose a potential conflict of interest may lead to manuscript rejection, retraction, or other corrective actions as deemed necessary by the editorial board.

By committing to complete transparency and accountability, the International Journal of Multidisciplinary Futuristic Development ensures the ethical foundation and academic credibility of its publications across all multidisciplinary fields.
