Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

Duties of Editors
Fair Play and Editorial Independence

Editors at the International Journal of Multidisciplinary Futuristic Development (IJMFD) evaluate submitted manuscripts solely on the basis of their academic merit (importance, originality, study design, validity, and clarity) and relevance to the scope of the journal, without regard to the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnic origin, citizenship, religious belief, political philosophy, or institutional affiliation. Editorial decisions are not influenced by policies of governments or any external institutions. The Editor-in-Chief holds full authority over the editorial content and the timing of publication, ensuring that all editorial processes support the advancement of multidisciplinary futuristic research.

Confidentiality
Editors must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and not disclose any information about them to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate. Manuscripts must not be shared or discussed without authorization.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Editors and editorial board members will not use unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript for their own research without the explicit written consent of the authors. They must avoid handling manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest arising from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the manuscript. In such cases, another editor will be assigned to handle the manuscript.

Publication Decisions
All manuscripts under consideration are subjected to peer review by at least two experts in the relevant field. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for making the final decision on whether to accept, reject, or request revisions for a manuscript, based on reviewers' evaluations, significance of the work, and compliance with ethical and legal standards including libel, copyright, and plagiarism.

Involvement and Cooperation in Investigations
Editors, in collaboration with the publisher, will take necessary actions when ethical concerns are raised about submitted or published manuscripts. All cases of alleged unethical conduct will be investigated thoroughly, following COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines. If misconduct is confirmed, the journal will issue corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern as required.

Duties of Reviewers
Contribution to Editorial Decisions

Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and provide constructive feedback to authors, helping improve the quality of submissions. Peer review is central to maintaining academic integrity in multidisciplinary research.

Promptness
Invited reviewers who feel unqualified to review a manuscript or unable to complete the review in a timely manner must promptly inform the editors and excuse themselves, so alternative reviewers can be assigned.

Confidentiality
Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with others except with the express permission of the Editor-in-Chief. This rule applies even to reviewers who decline the invitation to review.

Standards of Objectivity
Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively and provide clear, reasoned comments. Personal criticism of the authors is inappropriate. The review should focus on scholarly merit, relevance to the journal’s scope, and contribution to the field.

Acknowledgement of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published work that the authors may have missed and alert editors to any substantial similarity between the manuscript and other published or unpublished works they are aware of.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers must declare any conflicts of interest that could affect their objectivity and decline to review such manuscripts. They must not use unpublished material from the manuscript in their own work without permission from the authors. All privileged information must be kept confidential.

Duties of Authors
Reporting Standards

Authors of original research must present an accurate account of their work with sufficient detail and references. Review articles should be objective and comprehensive. Misleading or knowingly false statements constitute unethical behavior.

Data Access and Retention
Authors should be ready to provide raw data for editorial review and ensure long-term public accessibility (minimum 10 years) unless confidentiality or proprietary rights restrict such disclosure.

Originality and Plagiarism
All submitted work must be original. Authors must properly cite the works and ideas of others. Any form of plagiarism is unacceptable and unethical.

Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Submission/Publication
Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time. Redundant publications without proper justification and acknowledgment are not permitted.

Authorship of the Manuscript
Only those who have made substantial contributions to the work and manuscript drafting/revision should be listed as authors. Others who contributed should be acknowledged with their permission. The corresponding author must ensure all co-authors meet authorship criteria and have approved the final version.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose all potential conflicts of interest—financial or non-financial—at the time of submission. All sources of financial support should also be clearly acknowledged.

Acknowledgement of Sources
Authors should appropriately cite all referenced work, particularly influential publications. Private information or data obtained through confidential means must not be used without explicit written permission.

Hazards and Human/Animal Subjects
Authors must disclose if their work involves hazardous materials, or research involving humans or animals, and confirm compliance with institutional and legal ethical standards, including obtaining informed consent where applicable.

Peer Review
Authors are expected to participate fully in the peer review process, respond to reviewer comments thoroughly and timely, and submit revised versions of their manuscripts accordingly.

Fundamental Errors in Published Works
If authors discover significant errors in their published work, they must notify the journal immediately and cooperate with correction or retraction procedures as needed.

Duties of the Publisher
Handling of Unethical Publishing Behavior

In cases of misconduct, the publisher of the International Journal of Multidisciplinary Futuristic Development, in collaboration with the editors, will take all necessary steps to investigate and correct the scholarly record. This may include issuing corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern. The publisher works proactively to prevent unethical practices and does not tolerate misconduct in any form.
