International Journal of Multidisciplinary Futuristic Development

Peer Review Policy

Duties of Reviewers
The peer review process is a fundamental aspect of editorial decision-making at the International Journal of Multidisciplinary Futuristic Development (IJMFD). Reviewers play a critical role in upholding the quality, reliability, and academic integrity of scholarly communication. By offering insightful and constructive feedback, reviewers assist editors in making well-informed publication decisions and guide authors in refining their work across a range of disciplines that contribute to futuristic and sustainable development.

Timeliness
Reviewers are expected to complete their evaluations within the stipulated time frame. If a reviewer feels inadequately qualified to assess a manuscript (due to lack of expertise in a specific discipline or topic) or foresees a delay that could hinder the review timeline, they should promptly inform the editorial office and decline the review. This helps maintain an efficient peer review workflow and supports timely publication.

Confidentiality
All manuscripts assigned for review are confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, discuss, or disclose any part of the manuscript with unauthorized individuals unless explicitly permitted by the Editor-in-Chief in exceptional circumstances. Maintaining confidentiality is essential to protect the integrity of the peer review process across diverse fields and sensitive research areas.

Objectivity and Constructive Feedback
Reviewers should approach each manuscript with objectivity and fairness. Critiques should be focused on the scholarly content—such as research design, argumentation, evidence, and conclusions—rather than the author(s). Feedback should be clear, evidence-based, and aimed at helping authors improve their work, regardless of the field of study. Personal remarks or derogatory language are strictly prohibited.

Acknowledgment of Sources
Reviewers are encouraged to identify relevant literature or foundational studies that may have been overlooked by the authors. If any claims or results appear to lack proper citation or attribution, reviewers should highlight these omissions. Additionally, reviewers must notify the editorial team if they detect any form of plagiarism or significant similarity with previously published or known works, especially when it involves innovative or interdisciplinary ideas.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers must disclose any actual or perceived conflicts of interest arising from relationships—personal, professional, institutional, or financial—with the authors or related entities. If such a conflict exists, the reviewer should decline the assignment to preserve the objectivity and fairness of the review process.

Furthermore, reviewers must not use unpublished data, concepts, or findings obtained through peer review for their own research or professional advantage without the explicit permission of the authors. All privileged information acquired through the review process must remain confidential, even if the reviewer declines to conduct the review.

By adhering to these principles, the International Journal of Multidisciplinary Futuristic Development strives to ensure a transparent, ethical, and high-quality peer review process that supports the advancement of multidisciplinary research for a sustainable and innovative future.
